My workplace is freezing. Have I told you that?

It’s not the church that is cold. It is the other place where I work (I do not include the name in case I offend anyone). For some reason, they won’t turn the heat up. I have been told that the security doors do not close properly when the heat is on, but…well…that just sounds kind of silly, right?

Anyway, I decided that today I would wear one of the 3 Snuggies that I own while sitting at my desk, since space heaters are a big no-no. There is a problem, though. The solid green Snuggie, which would be most appropriate for the office, belongs to my wife and she will not let me take it out of the house. This leaves me with two choices.

Either I can wear the leopard print Snuggie that we jokingly say is Stacy’s racy Snuggie…or…I can wear the Batman Snuggie (complete with hood and cowl) that my brother’s family gave me for Christmas this year. Since I spend a lot of time interacting with other people, I opted for the leopard print over Batman. I cannot wear it without speaking in a deep, growling voice and flying around the place with cape flapping.

Of course, this gives me some great ideas for new Snuggies that could be very useful:

The Shirt and Tie Snuggie: I would love to be wearing one of these right now. Imagine the creator of the tuxedo t-shirt decided to make a Snuggie with interchangeable ties. That way, the business executive could be warm and still change his style from power tie to soothing colors whenever he pleases.

The Bib Snuggie: Restaurants get cold. But, who wants to get food all over their nice, new Snuggie. Well, fear no more, the Bib Snuggie would be stylish, warm, and have a cleanable surface for those times when you are just too messy with BBQ ribs or fresh crab legs. This one is a winner!

The One-sie Snuggie: Is there some reason that Snuggies don’t have leg holes? Maybe you are an active person that wants the warmth of a Snuggie without feeling like a Gregorian monk. With the One-sie Snuggie, you can be on the go go go!

The Casket Snuggie: I can only imagine how difficult it is for funeral directors to try to dress these lost loved ones prior to a wake or funeral. What if we made a Snuggie that could help those folks out? I bet it would be a best-seller. We could even make it biodegradable to ensure solid decomposition once buried. Um…now that I am saying this out loud, it sounds like a terrible idea…maybe I should stop…

Well, there you are. I expect to see a few of these on the market in the near future. I also expect to see lots of money pouring into my pockets over these wonderful innovations.

Maybe not.
